Kaity Fotherby is the Community Administrative Assistant at the Women & Children’s Shelter of Barrie and has worked with the shelter for over 6 years. Kaity is passionate about bringing awareness to violence against women in her community. After completing her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Women’s Studies at Laurentian University, she really wanted to get involved with a local organization that was working toward positive change. Working with the Women and Children’s Shelter has made that work possible, and she is very excited to be here today to speak about the shelter and the impact their work has on women and children who temporarily call it home.
