President's Message

I am honoured to be the 26th President of the Kempenfelt Rotary Club. I joined this vibrant Club on April 21st 2010 and have not looked back. 

 

I am a Barrie boy. Born in Toronto in `1965 and in 1967 my father decided to take us up the new under construction 400 hwy. I think that was a stretch calling it a highwat back then. I spent my formative years in Barrie with my parents Eric Campbell and Pauline Campbell as well as my brother Mark Campbell and my sister Donna Stewart. 

I was exposed to Rotary by my younger brother Mark. He was an over 20 year member of this club and i was lucky enough to be invited to numerous club events and a presidents bash held at his house back in Steve Gage year. Once life allowed and time allowed i decided to ask Mark to sponsor me as a member and 14 plus years later here I am. It has been a great run and here's to 14 more.

 

Our club has a membership of 70 inspiring Rotarians doing great work in our community and around the world.

 

Our signature events include Battle of the Bands, Colt for a Day, Kempenfelt Derby, 100 Holes of Golf, and Kids Fishing Day. 

 

We have made recent donations to RVH, Hospice Simcoe, Seasons Centre, Gilda's, Women's and Children's Shelter, Youth Haven and many other local charities. 

 

Our Rotary District theme for 2024-25 is THE MAGIC OF ROTARY. 

 

I am doing my best to lead our Club this year in continuing on with the Magic our Club creates for others Locally and Globally, helping to grow our membership, giving back to our community while having fun doing it.
