Denis Galbraith, Chair of the Board

Denis is the reason YouthReach exists. Starting 10 years ago as a volunteer driven KidSport chapter, Denis was instrumental in launching the support of children to participate in activities that their families may not be able to afford. His commitment to this mission, in partnership with the Board, evolved us into YouthReach as a stand-alone charity in 2015. Denis has over 30 years of experience in the investment industry and has been recognized consistently throughout his career with various awards and achievements.  Denis’ passion for YouthReach continues to drive our work, our growth and our vision to transform the lives of our grantees, one activity at a time!

Jeanette Heywood, Executive Director

With more than 25 years as a professional in the charitable sector, Jeanette has a unique skill set to help grow and empower organizations to reach beyond their current situation to further their impact and change lives! Joining the YouthReach Board in 2012, she evolved into the Executive Director in May 2017. Her commitment and focus to support the Board in the growth of YouthReach, has seen the charity continue to provide more opportunities to the kids in Simcoe County. Her role oversees the day to day operations - pre-screening grants, working with families in the application process, facilitating the creation of a new strategic plan and representing YouthReach in the community to secure additional resources for our work.
