This Year’s Speaker: Major Danielle Strickland

Danielle Strickland, a Salvation Army Officer, is passionate about caring for fragile communities around the world. This appetite for social justice has led her to back alleys and late night street corners to partner with Jesus in rescuing those struggling with drugs, homelessness, prostitution and despair.

Her aggressive compassion has been a force for change in the halls of government and the corridors of commercial power. She is committed to seeing laws changed and practices transformed so that women and children are no longer trafficked or enslaved. As detailed in her book ‘A Beautiful Mess’ Danielle has experienced redemption first hand. Her own story of recovery from addiction and transformation after time in prison is an inspiration.
