Detective Sargeant Paul LaSalle is a 31 year veteran of the York Regional Police and is currently the officer in charge of the Auto Cargo Theft Unit.  He has spent the majority of his career in investigative services as a Detective in the Hold Up Squad and the Auto Cargo Theft Unit.  He has specifically been investigating Organized Crime involving auto thefts for over 16 years.  He has been a member of the International Assocation of Auto Theft Investigators since 1997 and a member of the Canadian Association of Special Investigations Unit.  He has been featured as a subject matter expert on W5 and Marketplace and has lectured across North America on Auto and Cargo Theft
