Kristen Dawson brings over 17 years of experience in providing psychosocial care and support for individuals and families in response to trauma and health care experiences with a particular focus in the area of oncology.  She has held both academic and advisory positions with McMaster University and a number of community based organizations and initiatives.  Kristen has served as the Psychosocial Lead for the North Simcoe Muskoka LHIN with Cancer Care Ontario.  She joined Gilda's Club Simcoe Muskoka eight years ago in anticipation of its opening in the capacity of Program Director, and currently serves as the CEO of this cancer support community located in Barrie, Ontario.
