Jonathan Skillen grew up in Barrie, the oldest of three, but has since found himself in some far flung places.  Jon has just returned from a nine month contract working with Doctors Without Borders/Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) in war torn and famine stricken South Sudan.  The months were busy with overnight deliveries, short canoe trips on the Nile, and evacuations due to advancing miliary forces.  This wasn't his first time living in a strange place, having completed a full year in the Democratic Republic of Congo in 2015/2016.  Jon finds that medical humanitarian work is an enormous personal and professional challenge in these contexts and the rewards are tremendous.
