District Govenor - Sue Davidson

Susan Davidson Bio

Susan Davidson joined the Rotary Club of Bridgenorth Ennismore Lakefield in 2001 but her passion for Rotary began in 1987, the year she and Rotary husband Tony hosted their first exchange student.  The Youth exchange program has always been near and dear to her heart, and was the inspiration responsible for her joining Rotary.

Sue has been involved in all avenues of service at the club level although Youth Programs and World Community Service (WCS) are her main focus.   As an educator, one of her life dreams was met when she had the opportunity to be involved with the building of Phase 2 of the Rotary School of Cambodia.  She has subsequently returned to Cambodia on several occasions to provide teacher education and training for the teachers and to work to upgrade the curriculum and resources.  She has also developed a partnership with the teacher education program of Trent University to continue to support the Cambodian teachers.

Sue has been involved in many areas of Rotary and every opportunity has presented new insight into rotary and a better understanding of the amazing work of District 7010.  She is honoured to have the opportunity to serve as governor.

Sue believes passionately in the power of our Rotary Foundation and the way it can further world peace through the six areas of focus.  Sue and husband Tony have two grown children, Courtney (Darcy) and Michael, and two grandchildren.  They enjoy traveling, golf, gardening and spending time enjoying being beside and on the water.
