Lesley Watts-Robinson Catulpa Community Svs

Lesley is a professional Social Worker and Early Childhood Educator with over 20 years experience working in a variety of settings.  She currently manages the Simcoe County Community Action Program for Children and Canada Prenatal Nutrition Programs (MotherCare).  Catulpa Community Support Services is the local host/sponsor agency for the projects.  Lesley is also a part-time professor at Seneca College in the post-graduate Early Years Mental Health Program.

MotherCare and CAPC programs are primarily funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada.  Their mandate is to provide essential supports to individuals and families who are considered "at increased risk" due to socio-economic factors such as poverty, young parents and new immigrants.  Lesley manages a team of approximately 30 staff who work out of numerous locations across Simcoe County.  CAPC and CPNP programs have no capital funding and operate exclusively out of space that is owned or leased by partner agencies and services.  Programs are also all delivered in partnership with other service providers and community resources.  They are funded specifically to integrate into the existing service system and to augment existing services.  CAPC-CPNP provides much needed services and supports to over 1200 low-income families each year.
